Educational Post 2: Buffalo A Language Paradox

 

What do you think when you see this sentence? Do you even consider it as a sentence? ​
Actually, it is grammatically correct, and even has a real meaning. Languages are not obvious systems; it is not an easy task to comprehend all of their properties. ​
Let me explain the sentence you see on the right. Buffalo is an animal name, also there is a city called Buffalo in New York, and buffalo as a verb means “to bully” so when you put all these things up it means Buffalo buffalos which Buffalo buffalos buffaloed buffaloes Buffalo buffaloes.
